A: Peripherals such as cameras, scanners and printers should be added one at a time. Some peripherals should only be connected when the machine is powered off. Some Universal Serial Bus devices including scanners and printers, require special installation. In all cases, refer to manufacturer instructions for details.

Q: What is the best way to install software programs and games?
A: Software programs and games should be installed one at a time. After carefully following installation instructions, reboot your PC to ensure that the operating system and all other programs are corruption free. Hardware and software installation is available where you bought your vpr Matrix PC, including participating Best Buy stores.

Q: What type of motherboard was installed in my computer?
A: An Intel Motherboard was installed in your vpr Matrix PC to ensure reliability and stability.

Q: How do I play DVDs?
A: Since your DVD software is not preinstalled, you must insert the Power DVD disc and follow the installation instructions. For more details on how to load the disc, please refer to the Getting Started Guide included with your system.

Q: Where do I find the key code needed to install my PowerDVD software?
A: The key code is the same as the "serial #" which is listed on the sleeve for your PowerDVD software.

Q: When activating Windows XP, some keys on the keyboard do not work. Is my keyboard working properly?
A: Yes, it is working properly. The Windows XP activation process is designed to only allow certain characters of the keyboard to be active during this portion of the activation process. All keys should work properly once the activation process is complete.

Q: How do I activate/register my software?
A: If you purchased a vpr Matrix model 1600, 1800 or 2000, the PC should boot to a registration screen for Windows XP. At that screen, complete the activation/registration and follow all instructions. If you do not complete this process within 30 days, your system will lock up until activation/registration is completed successfully. Note: a phone line must be connected to the modem to complete online activation/registration.
