Prior to purchasing my VPR Matrix I have owned 7 PCs (mid to high end models) and all of them regularly encountered system crashes. In two months period of ownership, loaded with software and hardware hookups, I have yet to experience a system crash! If VPR continues to provide the same kind of PC and value that I got from my first PC, then the next will be another VPR. Thanks Best Buy!

I've owned computers from many different manufacturers, including home built, and this thing takes the cake. It's lightning fast, hasn't slowed down at all, and does what I want right away. The best part, for what I bought it was half the price of the similarly equipped Dell and Gateway machines, without all the [@&*#%!] that comes along with those. If you want a good computer without a lot of the [@&*#%!] that is associated with computer buying, you've come to the right place. My next computer is definitely going to be a VPR. VPR Matrix RULES!

I have always been a "DIY" type when it comes to computers. The recent death of my 6 month old computer put me in a scramble to find a replacement. I found a bargain in the vprMatrix line...little did I know, it would be a reference system to judge all my future purchases by. Excellent hardware quality, excellent stability. You can't go wrong with a purchase of one of these systems.

All I can say is, "Wow!" This is the finest PC I've ever worked with. I've had it for just over a month and it has only gone down one time, but that was because I installed too many applications at one time without a reboot. I opened the box, installed a DVD-Burner, more RAM, and a second drive, and was actually using the machine within an hour. One nice feature is that vpr Matrix didn't load the drive up with dozens of useless programs that usually tend to find their way into the recycle folder. I edit video for a living, and the 4100 is as solid as the Big Box editing workstation in my office. I've already edited together a 60+ minute video for DVD using about 200 elements, without a crash. I heartily recommend this brand to everyone!

Before I purchased your system I looked around months and months looking for just the right computer with what I wanted on it. Finally I found the 2250 and I purchased it. I am very happy with everything about this machine. There are still very few machines I would exchange this with. No one can beat your price with all of the options you have on them I am a previous Gateway and Dell owner. I wasn't unhappy with their computers but it was time to upgrade and they didn't come close to your price for similar options.

This computer is awesome. I shopped around for eight weeks before making a purchase and believe that I got a system with top of the line hardware already installed for a great price compared to the "big boys". I'm glad the BestBuy salesman showed me the VPR Matrix. I'll probably get another for Christmas.

It's one fine computer and I have had a few. Did some two years research on looking for the right computer this last time when we just happened to come up on the VPR, and when the salesman started talking to me about it I just knew I had to have one. When we finally got the machine we were not disappointed and haven't been since this is going on 5 months. Just wanted to say thanks to VPR and Best Buy for putting out one heck of strong fast computer even with dialup service. Thanks!

What truly impresses me is more than the cabinet and the amazingly coherent interior layout of the computer is the robust and virtually bomb proof integration of all the hard parts. And the corrections, fixes and repairs were done via an absolutely incredible technical support group. In almost 20 years of computing, this is the most credible and professional group of support people I've EVER called. Thanks for a GREAT machine and truly amazing support.

I have had a number of PCs since 1992, and by far and away, your FT7100 is the NEATEST, CLEANEST, "SLICKEST", BEST LAID OUT AND BEST ORGANIZED PC I have ever owned. The cables are all bundled neatly, shielded where necessary and makes this a very uncluttered computer. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase.

In the past I've owned or used HP's, Compaqs, Dells, Sony's, and custom-built computers. This one honestly tops them all, overall! Whenever I get a chance, I've been leaving positive feedback about vpr Matrix computers and pointing prospective buyers in what I now consider the "right direction". ...It was gratifying to see the service plan in action. Since I am training as a technician in a new career, I was able to have the part mailed out to me and should have little trouble installing it; however, they were quite willing to have a technician come over and do the work for me.
What made the experience a good one for me was the polite, thorough, and very clear instructions and comments that were given over the phone. They also did not appear to be rushed for time or impatient with my many comments as things were tested and checked. Eric's phone voice was so perfect that I actually thought that I might be listening to a professionally recorded introduction... he kept that demeanor throughout our conversation. I researched them on the web and bought the Matrix 2000, Pentium 4 2.0Ghz, 512RAM, 120Gig HD, SoundBlaster 5.1, 64Mb NVIDIA GeForce2 MX, loaded, all the bells and whistles.
It rocks super fast, not one screw up yet, awesome 3D graphics & sound. BBY builds them to compete with Dell & G'way, so they do use quality parts. They order them as needed, no stock piling, so you get up to date technology. A similar Dell or Gateway would cost over $1700.00 with 3 year warranty. BBY 3 year on site warranty is superb, even covers lightning strikes... They rebuilt one of mine under warranty at zero cost. I read the warranty contract, there are no "hidden clauses" to fake you out. The Matrix is selling like hot cakes. They offer one year [no interest] financing. BBY is one of the top retailers in the USA and enjoys excellent consumer reviews. I like BestBuy because if I have a problem I sit on their counter, I don't have to pack it up and send it back at MY expense. Look close before you decide.

If you're considering buying a new tower, take a long look at the Matrix. Quality parts and quality service equals quality experience - you know, what the big boys used to be. And, no, I don't work for Best Buy or own stock in them.
Got my vpr Matrix 1800 last week and nothing but good. Nary a glitch and smooth sailing so far. Kudo's to Best Buy for offering an alternative to the usual Compaq and HP crapola. They do all the tech support so you don't have to deal with the lame-o techs at the manufacturers who say everything is third party software.
I did a ton of research and the vpr Matrix rocks! The quality parts used in the system are tremendous. This baby is built with all quality components. In addition, the Dells and Gateways use 3rd party PCI Bridges, USB controllers, etc. You're likely to find VIA stuff.
Vpr Matrix is pure Intel, with a 2.0A (Northwood, 512 L2 cache) P4 processor, Intel D850BG motherboard, 512 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM, 6 USB 2.0 ports (4 back & 2 on front), IEEE 1394 Firewire card, US Robotics v.90 modem card, Intel 10/100 Ethernet on motherboard, SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card, NVIDIA Gforce2 MX 400 graphics card with heatsink only (NO fan to fail), Logitech keyboard and Logitech optical wheel mouse, WD 120 GB HDD, Lite-On DVD & 24x10x40 CD/RW, Windows XP CD included, CyberLink PowerDVD, MS Works, and no clutter pre-installed.
For the first three days, I exercised the system very hard with no problems. I tested the memory with MemTest86 for three nights straight with not a single glitch. Norton DiskDoctor reports no problem with the hard drive.
BIOS upgrades for this motherboard will be available from Intel on their website. Also, the Intel Active Monitor software is available to download for monitoring system temps, fan speeds, alarms, etc. It is really slick and only runs on Intel motherboards.
The only complaint after using it for over a month is that the DVD drive spins very fast and makes plenty of noise when reading at high speed. I compared the system to Compaq, HP, Sony, Gateway, Dell, and build-it-myself. For me, this was clearly the best choice, and the price was right on.

I have a VPR 1600 that I purchased from Best Buy here in Indianapolis
Indiana. I run a National Rescue for the African Basenji dog I needed one
that was reliable and fast and able to handle all my digital images and
video I do and my uploading to our website that are heavy graphics. Needless
to say I run DSL in the home for all this plus my hobby of music recording.
I purchased this machine based on the server grade drive, expansion, memory
and usb ports already in it and the salesman recommendation, after we
analyzed all my requirements I chose the vpr and I have not been
disappointed.
After owning several brands of machines I can with confidence say the vpr is
an outstanding product that I can rely on and I wish that my local phone
company dsl service was as reliable as this vpr has been.
